Superhero Name: Sailor Mercury
Setting Background:

History: Ami (Crystal Version), Sailor Mercury (Crystal)

Personality: Before meeting Usagi, Ami was seen as a cold, uncaring person who only seemed to do school work and study. She didn’t have any friends and kept to herself so that she could continue to be the top performer at her school. It wasn’t until Ami met Luna and became friends with Usagi that people began to see her as an actual person instead of the “Girl Genius”. She’s still not the friendliest of people, but she’s far more outgoing than she was before she met Usagi and became Sailor Mercury. She wants to learn everything that she can about the people that she’s closest to, asking a lot of questions to get to know them and learn about how they are. Shortly after becoming Sailor Mercury, she dragged Usagi off to ask her all about herself and learn as much as she could. Because of her intelligence, Ami’s often the one who comes up with the plans for the Sailor Guardians.

Ami’s biggest passion is studying and schoolwork. She wants to become a doctor like her mother and she knows that will require a lot of study and high grades. She’s dedicated most of her life to studying and taking tests, so much so that she actually attends cram schools after her normal lessons in order to keep at the top of her class. She also has a habit of giving study guides and workbooks to her friends as gifts for different occasions and helps them out with their work when she can. Her study habits often get her teased by her friends, but she takes it in stride knowing that they don’t really mean to be mean to her.

Ami does have a secret love of games and pop culture, but doesn’t let it show. Because of her intelligence, she’s able to see the patterns in games and when she first played the Sailor V game was able to get the highest score currently on record. She doesn’t often play games, since she spends so much of her free time studying, but she does enjoy them.

Ami likes to relax by swimming. Being the Sailor Guardian from the planet Mercury, her element is water and she loves being in it when she can. It helps her clear her mind so that she can focus on other important matters.

One big thing that Ami dislikes is conflict. While she will protect innocent people and her friends with everything she has as Sailor Mercury, she hates it when her friends argue among themselves. She does what she can to help keep the peace, but she hates it when her friends argue.

Since Ami has few friends, she is fiercely loyal to them. She will do what she can to help them out no matter what kind of situation they are in. She will even give her own life to protect those around her if she has to and has before, only to be resurrected by Sailor Moon and the Legendary Silver Crystal.

Canon Powers: In order to access any of her powers, Ami must first become Sailor Mercury.

Transformation (Mercury Planet Power, Make up!): Ami uses her Star Power Stick to become Sailor Mercury.
Mercury Aqua Mist: An attack used to create a thick fog to blind enemies as Sailor Mercury. Blue energy forms in her hands and then disperses to make a very thick and very cold fog.
Sailor Planet Attack: A combined attack with the rest of the Guardians. It unleashes the combined forces of all the Guardians towards an enemy. (Will not be used in game due to being the only Guardian)
Hyperspatial Sphere Generate: Sailor Mercury is able to create a shield around an area in order to protect an area outside of it. (Used only once in canon. Will not be used in game)
Shine Aqua Illusion: Sailor Mercury is able to create a wave of water around her that she is able to direct towards an enemy. Not quite as powerful as Shine Snow Illusion.
Shine Snow Illusion: Similar to Shine Aqua Illusion, Sailor Mercury creates a storm to freeze enemies.
Mercury Aqua Mirage: Currently her most powerful attack. Sailor Mercury creates a sphere of water that splits into several different streams of water that engulf an enemy in a larger sphere of water that then bursts, destroying whatever is inside of it.

Game powers: In game, Ami would have a limited ability to control water when not transformed into Sailor Mercury, since she has no powers when she is not transformed.

Abilities: Ami is incredibly smart. She's at the top of her class in canon and can do almost anything with a computer. She's also a skilled chess player. She's also a good strategist and is usually the one to come up with the different plans for the Sailor Guardians.

Setting: Ami will be rather shocked to learn what could happen to her world, but also understands that there are things out there that could destroy the universe. She's used to fighting to protect others and will gladly join the Legion to help figure out how to stop the threat even though she's not used to working with others besides the Sailor Guardians.

Prose Sample:

Ami found it very odd that people as young as 14 could join the Legion and didn’t have to go to school. Even though she was one of the few Sailor Guardians in Japan, she still had to go to school during the day, just like any other girl. Then again, no one knew that she was the Guardian of Water and Intelligence, Sailor Mercury. No one knew the identities of the Sailor Guardians. There had to be a place here were she could do some advanced lessons in science and math. Something to keep her mind occupied when she wasn’t on a mission. After all, she needed to train her mind as well as her body.

“Excuse me, where would I find a library?” She asked, stepping inside a small office. She still wasn’t quite sure where to go. It was quite easy to get lost, even though she had practically memorized the map that she had found on the network. The woman behind the desk gave her a bit of a confused look and gave her some directions. With a smile and a nod, Ami thanked the worker and headed off.

She had been asked several times why she wanted to keep studying and each time she gave the same answer. “I want to become a doctor like my mother and to do that I need to keep my grades up.” Even though she wasn’t on her own planet, she wanted to keep studying and learn all she could. It was just the way that she was. She’d also wanted to look up information about the heroes that came before the current Legion and find out about them and what kinds of things that they did so that she could help prevent the mistakes from the past from happening again. She had seen firsthand what happened when the past repeated itself and she would prevent it if she could.

It didn’t take her long to find the library and start looking through different books. She wasn’t quite sure what she was looking for, but she would keep looking and studying whatever she could get her hands on until she was satisfied. It may have seemed odd to the others, but she was good at studying and finding out information about almost any subject and she would use that skill to help out while she was with the Legion.

Network Sample:

Welcome to the Legion, rookie. As a way of helping your character cope with their circumstances and have an optimistic outlook towards the future, the existing Legionnaires want them to record a message to their future self with their thoughts on their current situation, what they hope to accomplish in their time with the Legion, and the first thing they want to do when they get sent safely home or to the dimension of their choice.

[Ok. This was a rather odd thing to do. She understood the concept behind leaving a message for herself in the future, it was kind of like leaving a note to remember to pick up something from the store, but a bit more complicated. It wouldn’t be hard to leave herself a message.

She smiled and took a breath before looking at the camera with a small nod.
]

Hello, Ami, or maybe I should say Sailor Mercury. I know things have been hard without the rest of the Sailor Guardians, but I know that you…we can do it. I know we’ve gone through a lot with Usagi and the others, but there are people here that need our help as well and we can’t just sit and do nothing. We wouldn’t be able to be a Sailor Guardian if we didn’t help out when we could.

[She paused for a moment, gathering her thoughts again.]

I’m sure Usagi and the others would have done the same if they were here. I’m sure they’re fine. They’ve got Tuxedo Mask, Luna, and Artemis to help them as well. There are so many others here under similar circumstances and they’re doing what they can to help the Legion. Don’t give up. We’ve gone up against great enemies before and always found the strength to beat them. Our friends may not be here, but we’ve made many more who are just as important as the ones that are still back home. We’ll be able to join them again, we just have to finish this mission first.

Remember, we are the Guardians of Water and Intelligence, guarded by the planet Mercury. We are Sailor Mercury and that will never change.

Additional info: As Sailor Mercury, Ami has access to a device called the 'Mercury Goggle' which is a clear blue visor that is attached to her tiara that allows her to scan enemies and her surroundings. She also has a small supercomputer, but as of current Crystal canon, it has not been used. Would she still be able to use it in Legion?
